A card is a financial instrument that allows account holders to carry out digital transactions such as payments, transfers, and ATM withdrawals.

Currently, you can use ZWITCH APIs to create, issue, and manage debit cards for savings accounts.

Prerequisite

Currently, debit cards can only be issued against savings accounts. Contact our Integrations Team to learn how to create a savings account.

Follow the below steps to create and activate a debit card.

  1. [Prerequisite] Create a Savings Account: Currently, debit cards can only be issued against a savings account.
  2. Create a Debit Card: Create a card. The debit card is manufactured and shipped to the account holder.
  3. Activate a Debit Card: After creating a debit card, you need to activate it. You can do this immediately after creating the card or allow the cardholder to activate the card after they receive it.
  4. Set Card PIN: The account holder must set a PIN for the card before the card can be used. This is a mandatory requirement from the RBI.
